Donald Rosenblum , M.D., FAAP
Donald Rosenblum, M.D., FAAP

Dr. Rosenblum co-founded Pine Street Pediatric Associates, P.C. with Dr. Ferguson in 1978.  Dr. Rosenblum, a New York native, was born in the Bronx and grew up in Far Rockaway.  He is a graduate of Harpur College-The State University of New York at Binghamton (1969).  As a Tulane University School of Medicine (1973) graduate with membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society he received his internship and residency training in Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, including a rotation in pediatric oncology at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital. He was a Clinical Instructor in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine 1976-1978 and, in 1980 had received an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Department of Family Medicine at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York for approximately 20 years. Dr. Rosenblum was Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at The Kingston Hospital from 1991 through 1997. He is board certified in Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.  He attends classes in a Judaic chaplaincy program for use in future endeavors. After residing in Kingston for many years, Dr. Rosenblum and his wife presently reside in Rockland County.  In his spare time he enjoys the company of their children and “many” grandchildren.


Jane H. Ferguson, M.D., FAAP
Jane H. Ferguson, M.D., FAAP Dr. Ferguson co-founded Pine Street Pediatrics with Dr. Rosenblum in 1978. She graduated from Brown University in 1969 and received her M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine in 1973. Dr. Ferguson did her pediatric internship and residency at Boston City Hospital and Tufts- New England Medical Center; she also served as Chief Resident at BCH. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and member of The American Medical Women's Association (AMWA).She is currently serving as Chief of Pediatrics at Northern Dutchess Hospital. Her special interests in pediatrics include behavioral issues, both in early childhood and in teenagers. She has two grown children. Her hobbies include gardening, hiking, and travel.

Joseph Appel, M.D., FAAP
Joseph Appel, M.D. Dr. Joseph Appel grew up in Brooklyn and graduated in 1969 from Hunter College. He lived in Aruba, Israel and then Belgium, where he studied at the School of Medicine of the University of Brussels. Following graduation with honors in 1975, he completed three years of pediatric residency training at the Maine Medical Center. A two year stint as emergency physician led to unrestrained enthusiasm for a career in pediatrics, and since 1980, he's been full time with Pine Street. Dr. Appel was Benedictine Hospital Chairman of Pediatrics, 1994-2000. For twenty years, he was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Department of Family Medicine, New York Medical College. Recently, his subspecialty interests include communication disorders as well as developmental, behavioral, and learning disabilities. He's also a member of the Section on Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of Pediatrics. At home, more than anything he enjoys the company of his wife and recently college graduated daughter and son, reads, writes, gardens, skis and golf's.
